Day 1: Zanzibar  –  Stone Town Zanzibar (Sharazad Stone Town) (D)

Upon arriving at Zanzibar Island, our representative will be there to greet you and facilitate your transfer to the beach hotel where you can unwind and enjoy your overnight stay. The activities for the day will be contingent upon your arrival time. If you reach before 4 pm, you’ll have the opportunity to spend the evening exploring the historic Stone Town for about 2 hours. Later, you can return to your lodge located in Stone Town for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2-3: Stone Town – Jambiani (Sharazad  Beach Hotel) Silence) (B, L, D)

Following breakfast at your hotel, embark on a half-day tour to Changuu Island, also known as Prison Island, before being transferred to your beach hotel to unwind and delve into the details of your safari. Spend leisurely hours immersing yourself in the African Swahili culture around your beach hotel, where you can learn and engage in various activities at an additional cost. Bask in the sun on luxurious daybeds, relishing gourmet food and creative cocktails. Relax in the infinity pool with a sea view and witness stunning sunsets.

Changuu Island, initially designated as a prison in the late 19th century, underwent a transformation. Constructed by the British in 1893, the island’s purpose shifted to a quarantine station for yellow fever cases due to health concerns and disease outbreaks. The quarantine station was eventually abandoned, and today, Changuu Island stands as a captivating tourist destination with historical ruins, pristine beaches, and the enchanting presence of giant Aldabra tortoises. Boat trips to the island offer exploration of its rich history, appreciation of the natural surroundings, and interaction with the freely roaming tortoises, creating a unique contrast to its past as a prison and quarantine station.

Return to Stone Town and subsequently transfer to Jambiani, where you can relish a delightful two-day stay in your accommodations, savouring the refreshing breeze from the Indian Ocean.
