Detailed Itinerary

Windhoek, Namibia When you arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek, one of our team members will be there to greet you with a warm welcome. After a quick meet and greet, you’ll hop into a comfy private vehicle for an easy transfer to your hotel right in the heart of the city. Once you’ve checked in and settled into your room, the rest of the day is all yours! You can kick back and relax at the hotel, wander around the lively streets of Windhoek, or check out some local sights—totally up to you. For dinner, you’ve got plenty of options to choose from. Your guide will be happy to give you some tips and help you pick a spot, whether you’re in the mood for local Namibian dishes or something more familiar.

SossusvleiWe’ll hit the road bright and early at 8 a.m., leaving Windhoek behind as we make our way south through the scenic cattle farmlands towards the stunning Namib Desert. As we drive, you’ll see the landscape slowly changing, giving you a taste of the vast and diverse beauty Namibia has to offer.

Our first stop is a quick break at the top of the Nauchas, where you can stretch your legs and take in the incredible views from the Escarpment, overlooking the winding Spreetshoogte Pass below. This is a great spot for some photos, so make sure to have your camera ready!

After soaking in the scenery, we’ll continue our descent down the pass, taking in more breathtaking landscapes. Just a short drive further, we’ll arrive at Solitaire, a quirky little rest stop known for its delicious apple pie and unique desert vibe—definitely worth a quick look around!

Once we’ve had our fill of Solitaire, we’ll jump back in the vehicle and drive the final stretch of about 80 kilometers to our lodge in the Namib Naukluft, where you’ll have a chance to settle in and relax after an exciting day on the road.

Namibia SafarisWe’ll kick off the day with an early start, leaving our lodge before dawn to catch the magical sunrise as we enter the park. It’s definitely worth waking up early to see the first light hitting the towering dunes of the Namib-Naukluft National Park. We’ll follow the 60km tar road that winds its way through the stunning dune fields, giving us some incredible views along the way.

As we drive deeper into the park, we’ll pass by the famous Dune 45, which is a popular spot for photographers. But the adventure really begins when we reach the 2×4 parking area. Here, we’ll switch to 4×4 mode for a thrilling drive over the sand for the last 5km into Dead Vlei pan. This place is absolutely surreal, with its stark white clay pan, dark dead trees, and bright red dunes surrounding it.

If you’re feeling up for a challenge, you can climb one of the world’s highest dunes and enjoy the incredible views from the top. If not, no worries—you can explore the eerie beauty of the Dead Vlei pan at your own pace before we head over to the famous Sossusvlei area.

We’ll aim to leave the area around noon to avoid the peak heat of the day and head back to the lodge. Once there, you can enjoy a leisurely lunch and relax with a siesta or take a dip in the pool to cool off. Later in the afternoon, we’ll take a short trip to Sesriem Canyon, which is only about 5km away. It’s a great way to wrap up a day full of adventure and breathtaking landscapes!

SwakopmundWe’ll set off at 9 a.m. and head towards the charming harbor town of Walvis Bay. Our route takes us through the dramatic Kuiseb Canyon, where you’ll get to see some amazing rock formations and the vast desert landscape—perfect for a few quick photo ops!

Once we arrive in Walvis Bay, we’ll spend some time exploring this small but bustling industrial town. We’ll check out the impressive salt pans and the beautiful lagoon, which is famous for its flamingos and other birdlife. After soaking in the sights here, we’ll continue our journey along the coast to the laid-back resort town of Swakopmund.

Once we’re in Swakopmund, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore the town at your own pace. You can stroll around its charming streets, check out the local shops, or just enjoy the seaside vibe. This is also the perfect time to plan your adventure activities for the next day. We’ll go over all the options with you the night before so you can decide what sounds most exciting and make sure we get everything booked in advance. You could go for a scenic flight over the desert, a catamaran cruise, dune-boarding, quad-biking, or one of the many other thrilling activities available.

For dinner, you’re free to choose from one of Swakopmund’s many great restaurants. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood or something else, your guide can recommend some of the best spots in town!

Langstrand SwakopmundWe’ll start the day at a relaxed pace, so feel free to sleep in a bit or enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Once everyone is ready, we’ll head out for a short drive to the harbor town of Walvis Bay. This small industrial town might not seem like much at first glance, but it has some pretty interesting spots to explore! We’ll check out the salt pans, where you can see massive piles of white salt against the backdrop of the desert, and then head to the lagoon, which is a hotspot for birdwatchers and a great place to spot flamingos.

After we’ve had our fill of Walvis Bay, we’ll continue up the coast to Swakopmund, a charming seaside resort town with a mix of German colonial architecture and African flair. Once we arrive, the rest of the day is yours to wander around and get a feel for the town. You might want to stroll along the beach, explore the quirky shops, or just relax at one of the cafes.

In the evening, we’ll chat with you about the adventure activities available for the next day. It’s important to make bookings in advance, so we’ll help you decide what sounds fun and get everything set up. There are tons of options to choose from—short scenic flights over the dunes, catamaran cruises to spot dolphins and seals, dune-boarding for those looking for a thrill, quad-biking across the desert, and so much more.

For dinner, Swakopmund has plenty of great restaurants to choose from, so you can enjoy a nice meal at one of the town’s top spots. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood or something else, there’s a restaurant that’ll hit the spot. Your guide will be happy to give you some recommendations based on what you’re craving!

Skeleton CoastToday, we’ll head north along the rugged Atlantic coastline, with some cool stops along the way. Our first stop is at the fascinating lichen fields just north of Henties Bay. These fields are pretty unique, as the lichens thrive in this harsh desert environment, surviving off the moisture from the coastal fog.

After checking out the lichens, we’ll continue our journey up the Skeleton Coast. Our next stop is at the Cape Fur Seal Colony, where thousands of seals gather. It’s quite a sight—and smell!—to see so many seals in one place. They choose this spot because the cold sea currents in the bay help keep them safe from predators and provide them with plenty of fish to eat.

The Skeleton Coast is pretty wild, with the desert meeting the cold Benguela current, which keeps things cool even during the day. The coastline gets its eerie name from the many shipwrecks that line the shore, a reminder of how treacherous these waters have been over the years. As we drive, you’ll spot some of these shipwrecks just north of the Ugab Gate as we enter the park.

We’ll keep moving up the coast before turning inland towards Damaraland, a region known for its rugged beauty and unique landscapes. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive at our lodge, where you can relax and take in the stunning surroundings after a day of exploring one of Namibia’s most dramatic and hauntingly beautiful regions.

Palmwag ConcessionWe’ll kick off the day with an early breakfast before setting out for a short drive to the world-famous Twyfelfontein Bushman Rock engravings. This site is just a few kilometers away, and you’ll have the chance to explore it with a local guide who knows all about the area’s fascinating history and culture.

Twyfelfontein was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007 and is home to an incredible collection of ancient rock engravings created by the San people, also known as Bushmen. These petroglyphs are thought to be between 2,000 and 10,000 years old and represent the largest concentration of such engravings anywhere in the world. As we walk through the area, your guide will point out some of the most impressive carvings and share stories about their meanings and the people who created them.

After taking a leisurely stroll through Twyfelfontein and soaking up its rich history, we’ll continue our journey towards Etosha National Park. But before we get too far, we’ll make a quick stop at the Petrified Forest. This unique site features the remnants of ancient tree trunks, which are believed to be around 280 million years old. These massive trees were carried here by a flood ages ago and have since turned to stone, creating an eerie and fascinating landscape.

We’ll aim to arrive at our lodge in the late afternoon, just in time for a refreshing swim to cool off after a day of exploring. Afterward, you can relax and enjoy an early dinner, resting up for the adventures ahead.

Etosha National ParkToday is all about wildlife, so get ready for an action-packed day of game driving! We’ll head out in an open vehicle to explore the western part of the park, where we’ll spend the day visiting various watering holes. These spots are like magnets for wildlife, especially during the dry season, so they’re perfect for spotting animals that we might have missed the day before.

With our knowledgeable guide leading the way, we’ll be on the lookout for all kinds of creatures—from elephants and rhinos to lions, giraffes, and maybe even some of the park’s more elusive residents like leopards and cheetahs. The beauty of a full day game drive is that we have plenty of time to really get into the rhythm of the bush, following animal tracks, watching how different species interact, and just soaking up the incredible landscape.

By the late afternoon, we’ll make our way back to the lodge, where you can dive into the pool for a refreshing swim. It’s the perfect way to cool down and relax after a day out in the sun. Grab a cool drink and unwind by the poolside as you swap stories with fellow travelers and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As the sun sets and the sky fills with stars, we’ll gather for a delicious dinner, capping off a fantastic day in the wilds of Etosha.

Moremi Game ReserveWe’ll start the day bright and early with a full morning game drive in the open vehicle, heading back into Etosha National Park for another round of wildlife spotting. Today, we’ll explore some different areas of the park that we didn’t get to yesterday, giving us a great chance to see even more of what this incredible place has to offer. We’ll be on the lookout for any animals we might have missed, and who knows what surprises the day might bring—maybe a pride of lions lounging in the shade, a herd of elephants at a watering hole, or even a leopard hidden in the trees.

After our exciting morning in the park, we’ll return to the lodge for a relaxing afternoon. You can kick back and unwind by the pool, soak up some sun, or take a refreshing dip to cool off. If you’re more in the mood for some downtime indoors, it’s a great chance to update your social media with all the amazing photos and stories you’ve gathered on your safari adventure so far.

As the day winds down, you can start thinking about the journey back to Windhoek tomorrow, but for now, just enjoy your last evening in the wild. There’s no rush, so make the most of it by relaxing and savoring every moment of your time in Etosha.

Today, we’ll hit the road for a long drive back to Windhoek, Namibia’s capital city. It’s a scenic journey, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the changing landscapes as we make our way back. We’ll plan to arrive at our hotel by mid-afternoon, giving you plenty of time to settle in and unwind after the drive.

By mid-afternoon, we’ll arrive at our hotel in Windhoek. After checking in and settling into your room, you’ll have the rest of the day to yourself. You can head out and explore the city, visiting some of its popular attractions, local markets, or unique shops. If you’d rather take it easy, you can unwind at the hotel and start getting organized for your departure flight home tomorrow.

For dinner, you’re free to choose where you’d like to eat, but we highly recommend checking out Joe’s Beerhouse. It’s a well-loved spot in Windhoek known for its lively atmosphere, great food, and a wide selection of local beers. It’s the perfect place to enjoy your last night in Namibia!

It’s time to wrap up your Namibian adventure! We’ll arrange a transfer to Hosea Kutako International Airport to catch your flight home. Whether you’re heading straight to the airport or have a bit of time to explore the area before your flight, we’ll make sure you get there comfortably and on time. Safe travels and have a great flight back!
